1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using vows.link ("the Service"), creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and VowsLink ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Service.

You represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • "Service" refers to the vows.link web application and all related features, tools, and content.
  • "Account" refers to a unique user profile created to access the Service.
  • "Premium Features" refers to features available under a paid subscription plan.
  • "Partner" refers to a second user invited to collaborate on the same wedding workspace.
  • "Wedding Workspace" refers to the shared data environment associated with a single wedding event.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You must notify us immediately at hello@vows.link of any unauthorized use of your account.

Each paid subscription grants Premium access to both the primary account holder and one invited partner through a shared Wedding Workspace. Accounts may not be shared with, sold to, or transferred to any other individual or entity.

4. Subscription Plans

vows.link offers the following paid subscription plans:

All subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@vows.link. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Premium Features until the end of the current billing period.

5. Trial Period

The $1.00 Trial provides full access to all Premium Features for 7 calendar days. The trial is implemented as a one-time setup fee on the Monthly subscription plan.

Automatic Conversion: At the end of the 7-day trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to the Monthly plan at $10.00/month unless you cancel before the trial expires. You will be charged the first monthly payment on the 8th day.

The trial is available only to first-time subscribers. You may not create multiple accounts to obtain additional trial periods.

6. Lifetime Access

The "Lifetime Legacy" plan grants perpetual access to all Premium Features of vows.link for a one-time payment of $169.00, for the operational lifetime of the Service.

"Lifetime" refers to the operational lifetime of the Service, not the lifetime of the purchaser. Should the Service be permanently discontinued, we will provide at least 90 days' notice and offer data export options. Lifetime Legacy subscribers will receive a comprehensive "Time-Capsule Export" of their complete wedding planning data.

Lifetime Access is non-transferable and tied to the account under which it was purchased. It may not be resold, shared, or assigned to another individual or entity.

7. Payments & Billing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor.

We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card information. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

Prices are displayed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes depending on your jurisdiction. You are responsible for any additional fees charged by your bank or financial institution.

8. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers on all plans, including the Lifetime Legacy plan. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase.

8.1 Conditions

  • The refund request must be made within 14 days of the first payment.
  • The guarantee applies only to first-time subscribers.
  • Requests must be submitted via email to hello@vows.link with your account details.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

8.2 Exclusions

Refunds are not available for: renewal charges; plan changes after the initial 14-day period; the $1 trial fee; or accounts terminated for violation of these Terms.

9. SMS Messaging Terms

vows.link offers optional SMS notifications as a Premium feature. By enabling SMS notifications in your account settings and providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from vows.link related to your wedding planning activities.

9.1 Opt-In

You opt in to SMS messaging by: (a) providing your phone number during account registration or in your account settings; (b) verifying your phone number via a one-time verification code (OTP); and (c) enabling SMS notifications in the Notifications settings panel. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

9.2 Message Types & Frequency

Messages may include RSVP alerts, vendor payment reminders, task due-date notifications, partner collaboration nudges, and guest follow-up alerts. Message frequency varies based on your wedding planning activity and notification preferences.

9.3 Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Consult your mobile carrier's plan for details. VowsLink does not charge for individual SMS messages beyond your subscription fee.

9.4 Opt-Out

You may opt out of SMS messaging at any time by: (a) replying STOP to any message you receive from us; (b) disabling SMS notifications in your account settings; or (c) contacting us at hello@vows.link. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. Opting out of SMS does not affect your subscription or access to the Service.

9.5 SMS Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

10. Email Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails from vows.link (via our email service provider, Resend) including account confirmations, subscription receipts, security alerts, and service updates.

We may also send occasional product announcements and feature updates. You may unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or contacting hello@vows.link.

11. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without express written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
  • Share your account credentials with any third party.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent trial limitations or abuse free features.

12. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by VowsLink and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of any content you upload or create within the Service (guest lists, budgets, photos, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Breach of these Terms of Service.
  • Conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
  • Suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination by contacting hello@vows.link.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

VowsLink does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VowsLink shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to such liability, or $169.00 for Lifetime Legacy subscribers.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VowsLink and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Delaware.

18. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or a prominent notice within the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
